IFA 2011 – a giant step forward into a new age | 2 - 7 September 2011
The 50th edition of IFA attracted industry representatives from all over the world. This trade event serves as a global information and business platform.
Double-digit growth saw rented display space grow to 134,400 square metres (+11%), which alongside 1,423 exhibitors set a new record. The number of visitors who attended the 50th IFA was equally high. From 3 to 8 September 2010 235,000 visitors (+5%), among them 125,000 trade visitors (+8%), once again made sure that IFA lived up to its reputation as the world's biggest and most important trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances.
At 3.5 billion euros (+9 %), the volume of orders placed by the retail trade exceeded last year's figures.
